The yurt is open March to October, then closes over the winter until the following spring. We support local charities where we can and in particular Naomi House a hospice for children and young people.
Within the Riverside grounds we grow lavender and have 50 vines – both of these are for personal enjoyments & they make an attractive landscape allowing us to pursue our entrepreneurial spirit of jam making and wines. We also have two bee hives where we are looking forward to lavender honey. The lavender is also used in our locally produced soaps and creams – guests are able to enjoy these, as gifts in the cottage. However all our lavender products have become popular, so they can now be seen in local Hampshire Farmers Shops as well as further afield and online.
Riverside is keen to support local businesses so we encourage our rental guests to use the village post office and shop as well as The Swan Pub. The village also has a beautiful church. When the yurt is open it not only offers tea and cakes but displays a selection of local artisan gifts and food from businesses in the local villages.
We are very happy to introduce or to organise your catering needs in the cottage, using local caterers from Stockbridge, Andover, the Worthy’s – please do ask.
All of the above is overseen by Clare as she likes to get involved in as much as possible. Riverside is very close to her heart and all that she does is very personal – its a lifestyle she has chosen, hence the name Riverside Lifestyle.
We all look forward to welcoming you and your families.
