The Riverside Dream
Riverside Lifestyle began when we first opened the doors to Riverside Cottage, our spacious Hampshire hideaway that’s since been featured among The Sunday Times’ 25 Great British Holiday Rentals. With its exposed beams, flagstone floors, open fireplaces and roses round the door, the house has long been our refuge from the stresses of everyday life.
Riverside Cottage consists of a thatched cottage and lodge – both properties have their own unique qualities. We also have a Studio on the River and a seasonal Yurt.
We can plan activities for your stay and organise visits to local Hampshire attractions. We can book restaurants, organise cycle rides, babysitting and even dog walking. Just ask. Or we can leave you be!
Riverside Cottage is a self catering holiday let but to make things easier for you we can provide : breakfast with warm croissants delivered daily, lunches, picnics, cream teas or dinners – ready made, for you to warm up and enjoy or with a chef in the kitchen to cook, serve and clear.
We spend a lot of time in our Studio by the river where we offer Art and Yoga – rental guests and friends are welcome to join us with mindful drawing and painting and yoga. Or you may just like to visit and see our creativity.
Some calendar dates have been put to one side for wellbeing retreats – if this is for you please get in touch – be ready to unwind and enjoy everything being organised for you.

My Riverside Dream is a place to relax and rejuvenate; to go for country walks, sit by the river, daydream by a fire or curl up in a comfy chair with a good book. And this is my beautiful dog Toby!
Riverside Activities
We like to offer our guests wellbeing activities during their stay.
Art drawing classes are our thing and we have a specially designed studio by the river – if you want a 1-2-1 or group session just let us know. Otherwise there are scheduled classes of life drawing, painting or space to do your own thing.
Yoga on the lawn
We offer Yoga classes on a Saturday morning or we can arrange private group classes. If you want a bit more of a ‘push’ why not have a personal trainer to put you through your paces every morning.
Maybe cookery is a passion – we can arrange a chef and cooking demonstrations at Riverside Cottage. Learn to make jam or practice decorating that dream cake.
Flower arranging hosted by top Hampshire florists are popular for a group activity – especially in preparation for a wedding or Christmas wreath .. and made fun with a glass or two!
Relaxed pampering is always essential at Riverside Cottage – we can arrange massages, facials, nail painting and more.
Riverside Products
We love things creative, original and indulgent! That includes our own artisan Raspberry and Lavender Jam & Lemon and Lavender Marmalade. We also have our own Riverside Lavender Gin and our lavender hand wash /creams that you will find in all our loos! All crafted using our home grown Hampshire lavender which you will see growing opposite the pool.
And don’t miss out on our award winning Bonilla olive oil and sea salt Crisps – unusual I know but they are just part of my life !
